Whatever the Congress had will go away now, says Lalu
NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Janata Dal on Saturday called off the UPA alliance in Bihar, by denying the Congress even a single Lok Sabha seat. The RJD chief Lalu Prasad declared the Congress as virtually non-existent in the cow belt.

New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad said on Saturday he was not sad, but was definitely surprised, with the Congress’ decision to contest 37 seats in Bihar and admit rebel RJD leaders into its fold.

A police officer in Bihar has written to the state's chief election officer, saying that Anant Singh, a legislator of ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U), is "a threat" to the peaceful conduct of the Lok Sabha polls in Bihar, official sources said Monday.
Bihar's Muzaffarpur has maximum criminal candidates
Bihar's Muzaffarpur constituency will go to polls with the dubious distinction of having the maximum number of candidates with criminal charges against them, fighting to enter the 15th Lok Sabha. As many as 10 candidates out of the total 24 in the constituency that goes to polls in the second phase of the election on April 23 have criminal cases pending against them. Four such candidates have been charged with serious crimes like murder or attempt to murder, says a report by the independent body Association of Democratic Rights and the National Election Watch
